Decorative Concrete Coatings are generally applied to repair, restore or beautify existing concrete surfaces. The coating itself is approximately 1/8th of an inch thick and is hand trowel onto the concrete surface, this insures a custom installation every time.
The general process is as follows; The concrete surface is prepared either by simple power washing or more agressive measures such as an acid wash or surface grinding. Once the surface is ready, a base coat is applied and allowed to dry. Depending on the design or pattern there may be slight varience, however the pattern will be applied as well as a second texture coat. The next step is to add color using natural iron oxide stains for the most realistic results and finally the application of a high quality sealer.
